Privacy Policy
Effective: July 28, 2026
This policy explains what personal information The PROS collects through this website, why we collect it, and the control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch — we are happy to explain.
Who We Are
The PROS — Professional Residential and Office Services Inc. ("The PROS", "we", "us", or "our") is a low voltage installation company based in Calgary, Alberta. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at theproscalgary.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Alberta privacy legislation.
This policy covers this website only. Information exchanged directly with us during a quote, installation, or service call — including project documentation and any access we are granted to your systems — is governed by the agreement and arrangements we make with you for that work.
Information We Collect
We only collect information that we need. There are two ways we collect it.
Information you provide. When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The service you are interested in
- Whether your project is residential or commercial
- The message and any project details you choose to include
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. If analytics are enabled (see Cookies and Analytics below), similar usage information is collected to help us understand how the site is used.
We do not request or collect payment card details, banking information, government identification, or other sensitive personal information through this website.
Why We Collect It
We use the personal information described above only for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry and answer your questions
- To prepare and provide quotes, estimates, and project timelines
- To arrange site visits, walkthroughs, and scheduling
- To protect the website against spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it
- To meet our legal, regulatory, and insurance obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your contact details to send newsletters or marketing campaigns; when you contact us, we use your information to reply and to carry out the work you have asked about.
Consent
By submitting our contact form, you consent to our collecting and using the information you provide for the purposes described in this policy.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details at the end of this policy. Please note that if you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to respond to your inquiry or provide the services you requested. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything we did before you withdrew it, and it does not apply to information we are required to retain by law.
Cookies and Analytics
This website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Our web fonts are served directly from our own site rather than a third party, so simply browsing does not share your visit with an outside font provider.
We use Google Analytics to understand general site usage — for example, which pages are visited most and whether visitors are on mobile or desktop. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes limited technical information, including a truncated version of your IP address. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using this website or contacting us.
How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use Netlify to host this website and to receive and deliver contact form submissions, and Google Analytics to measure site usage. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government or regulatory authority, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or reorganized, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the receiving party continuing to protect it consistent with this policy.
Where Your Information Is Processed
Our website hosting, form processing, and analytics providers operate servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. This means your personal information may be stored or processed outside Canada and may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities of those jurisdictions under their laws.
We choose established providers that offer appropriate contractual and technical protections, and we limit what is sent to them to what is necessary. If you would prefer not to submit information through this website, you are welcome to call us instead.
How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
- Contact form inquiries that do not lead to work are generally kept for up to 24 months, so we can refer back to earlier conversations, and are then deleted.
- Inquiries that become projects are retained as part of our normal business and accounting records for as long as required for warranty, tax, insurance, and legal purposes.
- Technical server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
You may ask us to delete your information sooner — see Your Privacy Rights below.
How We Protect It
We take reasonable steps to safeguard personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, form submissions are transmitted securely, and access to inquiries is limited to the people who need it to respond to you and carry out the work.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending confidential or sensitive details, such as alarm codes or passwords, through the website contact form.
Your Privacy Rights
Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to retain
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information
- Ask questions about how your information has been used or disclosed
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
Children's Privacy
This website is intended for a general business audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to manufacturer, brand, or partner websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
