How People Get Through the Door
Most sites end up using two of these together.
Fobs & Cards
The workhorse. Cheap to issue, instant to revoke, and easy for staff to carry on a lanyard they already have.
Keypad Codes
No hardware to hand out. Good for low-traffic doors and contractors, though codes get shared, so we usually pair them with something else.
Mobile Credentials
The phone is the fob. Nothing to lose or replace, and provisioning a new hire needs no physical handover.
Biometric
Fingerprint or facial readers for the doors that genuinely warrant it — server rooms, dispensaries, records storage.

Hardware fitted, panels wired, readers mounted. On occupied sites we stage door by door so you are never locked out of your own building.

Credentials loaded, schedules set, and a session with whoever will be adding and removing users day to day.
Common Questions
Yes, and it is a sensible way to do it. We size the controller and pull cable for the doors you expect to add, so the second phase is hardware only rather than opening walls again.
That is set by code and by the door's role. Egress doors must always open from the inside without a credential. Fail-safe hardware releases on power loss; fail-secure stays locked. We configure each door to its requirement and tie the system into the fire alarm where that is mandated.
Yes. Tying the two together means a badge event and the footage of that door at that moment sit side by side, which turns a long video search into a single click.
Where it is suitable, yes. Some frames and closers take electrified hardware easily; others need replacing. We flag which doors are which at the survey so there are no surprises mid-install.
